This post opens *spoiled*/retrospective discussion of Stargate: Atlantis episode 1x03: "Hide and Seek".

This episode first aired in the US 23 July 2004. This episode is parallel to Stargate: SG-1 episode 8x03 "Lockdown", by original US airdate.

US DVDset summary: During a game of hide-and-seek, one of the Athosian children inadvertently releases a dark entity. And when Atlantis goes through a series of technical malfunctions, the team realizes that the shadowy creature is actually feeding off of the power supply!
