I love this episode... well, most of it. Kolya's "I don't believe a city self-destruct exists, and you need two people to turn it on" makes me giggle every time. Way to go with logic-fail, writers!

Also the ending annoys me, for reasons which are gone into in just about every Eye tag written. I like Rodney h/c, but I don't appreciate it being played for laughs. Bah.

And I wish we'd got to see Sora again after this. Or at least have been given a throw-away line to tell us whether or not she's still languishing in the depths of Atlantis...

Sorry, I didn't mean this comment to be so negative - I love this episode, I really do! I guess I'm just in the mood for whining ;)

Yeah, Kolya, what's that about? "Even if it exists, Major, you need at least two senior personnel to activate it." How does he know that at all, much less if he thinks the destruct doesn't exist? ::headdesk::

This, so much ... though it did give us some great fix-it fic, I have to say. The show really undermined itself there; he was such a brave little toaster in the first part! I had forgotten that they didn't just cut him and get answers; one of the thugs later kept squeezing the wound to try to shut him up. And Rodney gets snarky about it! Dude! That's such a complicated insight into the character, that he can be controlled by pain to an extent but only to an extent! But they seemed committed to their casting of Rodney as the comic relief, so we get that ending, which I think really was a bad idea from pretty much any writing angle you can choose ( ... )
