Oh, man. This was great. The playful bit about the names that echoes back (or forward, I guess) to the gateship stuff, and the fact that Rodney sees fairly clearly what he's getting into.

Loved this peek into Rodney pre-Stargate, but this bit, Rodney rolled his eyes. "We shot satellites into the sky and let other companies plug into them. It's a sky socket. What else were we going to call it?", made me LOL. Wonderful parallel. *g*
