Eeeeeeeee! I was right. Made entirely of awesome. I loved the way you wove the two universes together. I thought the idea was very clever, and it makes me scared of the way your brain works. I particularly loved your John, and look forward to reading lots more of him as written by you.

I think my favorite line in this has to be

He likes even odds; he has yet to meet any other four people as kick-ass as his team.

because, omg yes.

*snort* Zoni, you're always good for my ego. =D

I'm so glad/relieved that you enjoyed it. The new fandom thing is a little nerve-wracking, as it's been a long time for me, and when the idea came to me, I was like: Oh, can't you be normal? Why can't you just be normal?

But I went for it anyway, and I'm glad I did. It was good to write; not exactly fun, as it's emotionally laden, but good.

I really enjoyed this! The funny thing is that I've actually, in the past, contemplated Roland's ka-tet vs. Sheppard's team, and tried to figure how the characters might map onto each other. But Sheppard-as-Jake is something that had never occurred to me, and it's wonderfully creative and fits in a way I'd never have expected. You really did a good job of weaving the two canons together in a way that works for both.

Hell, I'm just glad I'm not the only one thinking SG:A and The Dark Tower at the same time. *grins* I'm glad the Sheppard-as-Jake thing worked for you. When the idea occurred to me, I spent several minutes trying to talk myself out of it by telling myself it would never work, which my brain countered by pointing out all the ways that it made sense, and after that I was doomed.

Thanks for reading, and letting me know it made sense someplace other than in my head. =D

I'm not familiar with the Dark Tower series, but I loved this and I am thrilled to death that you're writing SGA. Welcome, welcome, welcome!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I've been reading The Dark Tower Series for half my life, and while there are things about it that I'm never going to be entirely happy about, there are also a lot of things about it that I love a lot. The idea for this was sort of out of the blue for me, and I was kind of nerved about whether or not it would work. It makes me really glad to know that even without The Dark Tower canon, it's not entirely unreadable. =D

OMG - wonderful story! I didn't read the header so I was kind of suprised when suddenly Eddie Dean appeared and I was like: Hey, one moment - EDDIE DEAN?!?
Loved the story and loved how Jake and John talked...*sniff* And the end - aahh...hile gunslinger! Roland is definitely proud of John...*schniffs again*
Thank you for this great, great story!! *sighs happily* :-D

Yay, thank you! *beams*

And, also, Roland *is* proud of John, and I'm so happy and relieved that came through in the prose. I thought about trying to state it a little more clearly, but in the end I just couldn't think of a way to do it that would make canon sense for Roland's character (at least, if Roland wasn't bleeding to death or something), so I did the best I could to imply it and hoped like hell it worked.

Thank you so much for reading and letting me know you enjoyed it!

This is intriguing for someone who only knows one canon! I feel slightly frustrated, knowing there is a wealth of meaning there that I am unable to do more than touch the skin of with a fingertip - but that in no way reflects on you, obviously. It was very atmospheric even from the ignoramus pov. :-)

I'm really glad to hear that you found it interesting even without knowing the canon for both; I wondered whether it would be readable at all if you didn't have the background in both. the_drifter assured me that it was, but I was still worried.

There *is* a lot you probably aren't getting without having The Dark Tower familiarity, yeah, and I'm sorry you're frustrated (though I'm also happy to answer any questions you might have!), though only a little, really. Mostly I'm pleased that in spite of the frustration, you read it and found it engaging. *grins*
