I've never read the books in question, though a friend of mine has and told me a little about the background. I have read another story using dragonriders, but whether in this fandom or another one I really can't remember now!

Anyway, I loved this. Rodney was spot on, with his irritation at being dragged to the hatching etc. I loved how he doesn't realise he is talking to a dragon at first! And Shepparth was so very John as well!

Wouldn't mind more of this.

Apparently there's another SGA story with different dragonriders (a crossover with another novel series I also love.) At any rate, glad this one makes sense even if the canon's not entirely familiar. And that it sounds like them! Poor Rodney, always getting dragged places, in any 'verse...

You wouldn't mind more? I wouldn't mind writing more, so it's definitely a possibility XD
