Just darling! I love how, after some good cake, Rodney's brains kick in and he sees what he has to do. Lovely!

Cake is magical life-giving food! We should all eat more cake.

Thanks, hon! It seemed appropriate for Rodney and John. I always love reading them in schmoopy, romantic situations. They are my happy-couple.

Grrr, stupid LJ. I signed in already, but for some reason it didn't stick. Besides, I should've said that they are my happy-squabbly couple. *g*

Oh very sweet! I love how Rodney had no idea to apologize, and the auction for food was a stroke of brillance ;-)

Hey, I did the exact same thing with the comment right before yours *g*

I was really happy when the auction idea popped into my head. I was starting to write myself into a corner and was afraid that the fic was starting to turn too dark and depressing with Rodney just begging and bartering for food and slowly wasting away with no one to help him, and trying to fabricate a reason for John to drop by and offer to make/feed him cake.

This is what I get for trying to write something on the fly in two days. But thankfully, cake makes everything better.
