Snerk! What a hoot! Loved ControlFreak!Baker!Rodney. There is clearly more to be shared regarding his baking past. Shep's patron saint is inspired. Ronon offering to avoide the rush. Teyla taking it all in stride. I can see I'm going to have to be reading everything you write from now on. Ah, darn. Best, chev
Thank you so much! Ha ha, I've got a convert... (dances briefly) Yeah, there's definitely more to the baking thing: I'll admit now I'm not entirely sure what, because there are a hundred different scenarios, and there's no way he'd ever want anyone to know about his baking no matter how or why he learned it. He'd think they'd tease him ceaselessly, and he'd probably be right. ^^
Yep ^^ Calvin and Hobbes has probably influenced my life and psyche in incredibly significant ways I'll never fully comprehend... Not that I'm complaining in the least...
Yep, I can definitely see that spreading. Now Rodney'll have even more new and terrible ways to be convicted as a heretic. "Oh come on! I can't believe that ridiculous idea has become so pervasive! Though maybe I shouldn't be surprised, because it was my idea, you know, that started it-- what are you doing with those torches?..."
Thank you so much! Yeah, I think I probably relate to Rodney the most. And Zelenka. I adore Zelenka. Heh. ^^
The ending was the part I was least satisfied with, really, the last sentence at least, even if apparently it sort of works. Little too vague, too much left to interpretation... I'd wanted to come up with something else, but I still can't. But to the actual question. Lost causes, dumb luck, pilots, and idiots... Like Rodney said, at least in Pegasus, there's no one better at at least three out of those four than Sheppard... Or that would be the theory anyway. ^^;
Oh, good! I'm still fairly new to this fandom (or I feel like I am, anyway, though heavens know I've read more than enough fic to be caught up...), so one of my favorite things to hear is that I've gotten the voices right. Thank you so much!

The few people who'd consciously realized who St. Ferris actually was thought they understood.

The scientist sighed. "No talking while you're trying to explain violations of important social mores, yes, yes, but--"
OMG HEE. This was brilliant!
