Hee. Cute. Poor Rodney and his not-resting. *pets him* And his poor leg too! *pets that*

Silly Shep. They both need a thwack around the ear at times, IMHO.

Thanks for this :)

Rodney: Rest? What is this *rest* of which you speak? *aside* Miko! Where's my coffee?

*grins* You're entirely welcome.

This was really fun.

>Rodney waves a hand. “I think I know this place better than you do, Major, no matter how much it sits up and begs for your DNA. I’m perfectly safe.” Something in the wall gives off an enormous spark, and they both jump back, managing to avoid possibly-breakable parts this time. “Ironic cosmic timing notwithstanding. Go reconnaisse.”<

Heh. Great Rodney voice.

Thanks!

I was proud of myself for making up the word "reconnaisse". Because it should be reconnoiter...but Busy!Rodney doesn't care!

Actually, 'reconnaisse' would be a natural mistake for an anglophone Canadian who's had about six years of French class to make. So, nice going there. I had to look it up, myself.

Heh, yes. I was thinking about the etymology--the root would be what, reconnaitre? (Which doesn't quite make sense in context--how are you "re-knowing" something you've never seen before?) So, "reconnais", or appropriate conjugation, would be the verb...

Aaaaand I'm a nerd. Right. Anyway, glad you liked it!

Totally fun. You just know they've got to be going stir-crazy, same city, same people every day. And they should definitely get away together. :)
