Oooo, that's fantastic!

I should have known it wouldn't actually be lemonade;) I adore Rodney as a protective older brother and Jeannie is cute.

Any chance there'll be more of this? *hopeful face*

Oh, man. If I had a plot, I totally would do more. But I got nothin' other than the usual "second chance at love" thing. (You know: they meet, fall in love, have sex, move apart, and find each other again in Atlantis)

Thanks!

I love that "second chance at love" plot! But if you ever get inspired, snapshots of this would be great too;)

Who knows? Things are percolating right now, but I'm afraid it may turn into something more "children of the corn".

Snapshots, though. That's a thought.

He looked John over, his eyes lazily scrolling down, taking in John's bare chest and cut-offs, and the sandals on his feet.

Guh. Now there's a nice image. ;)

"I'm allergic to lemons. Therefore, no lemonade."

LOL -- perfect!

Is it so wrong for me to want John shirtless a few episodes this next season? *g* Thanks!

John playing guitar would be good too... *thinks back to days when she had MAJOR crushes on all the gorgeous guitarists*

Are they there because of Rodney's science fair nuke? I do love this, I've developed an adiction to fics where the SGA folks meet as youngsters or are imposed upon high schools or colleges.

Sure! Why not. At this point, all I really know is that Rodney is on a scholarship to the prestigous private school, and that he and his mother and Jeannie are all in the states together, while his dad the geologist is working on an oil rig somewhere and that his checks don't make it back to the family as often as they should, so things get stretched really tight.

Otherwise, I got nothing. Thanks!

Ooh, yeah! The ever-so-slow grinding of pre-pc bureacracy. Every time I hear someone moan about the bank taking two whole days to clear a cheque, I remember when it took four months for your employer to get your change of address right. Honestly, ten years ago you counted yourself lucky if your health insurance sent you a corrected bill within two months.

oooh, lovely! Nice mental images. I agree with plsteward, adolescent fics are the best. I love everything in this fic, from the descriptions of all that Americana to the John-with-an-ice-block. well done!

...damn, now i can't stop thinking about John-with-an-ice-block.

Mmmm. John with ice. Yeah, that's one of the reasons I had to write this down. Thanks!

Oh, this is lovely. Glad you got this down, and I love that image of John on his skateboard with a guitar on his back. (Topless, to boot!)

Now it's my turn to go look for some lemonade.

So, in the next bit, after John introduces Rodney around, he curls up at the base of the tree and plays some. Rodney settles beside him, shoulders touching, as evening grows long.

There's no conflict in this, just lots of pretty pictures. *g* Thanks!
