Why couldn't you have just come out and said deathfic? Was there any point to hiding your warning?

Because there are more than a few of us that prefer not to be spoiled for the content of a story. To me, this was the perfect choice: I could choose not to be spoiled, others could choose to be warned.

I'm assuming it was highlighted like that because some people prefer not to have warnings that are spoilers for the fic- just like the 0/1 posts you get on a lot of mailing lists. It's pretty effective compromise between those that need to know what they're getting in to and those that want the surprise to be... welll, a surprise.

That's it exactly. That's why I did it. The warnings there for those who don't like deathfic's but I wanted the end to be something of a surprise.

Thanks! That is why you needed to highlight for all warnings. *shrugs* If you knew that someone had died the impact wouldn't have been as great.
