Amnesty Harlequin by Speranza

I think this is a personal best (worst?) for me--141k of flashfiction. I would say that this story is really weird, except actually, scarily, this story is really kind of typical for me. SGA seems to be the fandom where I feel like I should preface everything I write with an apology, and so--hey, I'm really sorry. Hope you enjoy it anyway ( Read more... )

And that's why I love you and the fic your write.

Off to watch Numb3rs, then to read your story.

Yeah--it's not so flashfiction, is it? *wince* I mean, I know I pioneered "screw the word count", but this is ridiculous.

I am supposed to be working on a paper right now. I brought my laptop down to the study room and my books are next to me and I really meant to write my paper. But then I saw this. And I couldn't stop reading. It's hilarious and wonderful and you made Henry McKay and Katherine Sheppard seem real to me, real in the way that I'm now trying to figure out scenarios for why she would have left Jean and Rodney and am seeing a letter-war between the separate parents.

I said all that to say this: fantastic job.

Hee--yeah, I have my theories about that, too, but it was impossible to get it into the story: it was so exposition and backstory-heavy as it was. But I love the idea that you're speculating--that's a huge compliment, thank you.
