*Loved* the way you took canon and put just a bit of a/u spin on it--very nicely done. An interesting thought of 'so that's how it could have been'. Funny how just one or two things different at the right time can make so many other things change.

Thanks for a really great story. I don't remember any Harlequin I ever read in the past being anywhere near this good :)
