Happy SG-1 Gen Fic Day!

Not sure what I'm talking about? Take a look at previous round-ups for Gen Fic Days and Alphabet Soups.

Comment here with links to new fic, older fic, recs, meta, picspam, icons, vids - anything, as long as it's gen and related to SG-1. Shameless self-promotion is cheerfully encouraged! The theme of the day is time travel ( Read more... )

Not exactly sure if this is even supposed to go here, because it is a crossover with MacGyver, but I guess another gen story of mine applies to the time travel theme. Not based on a canon time travel.
It was inspired by lolmac's GarageDoorOpener post (http://lolmac.livejournal.com/462180.html).
The story itself - GDOs and Past Pains - can be found here: http://archiveofourown.org/works/3177530.

Of course it belongs here! It's gen. It's SG-1. AND it's time travel! Crossovers are only a bonus. :)

Time Travel Alphabet Soup: The Rift topazowl March 2 2015, 16:02:47 UTC
Title: R is for The Rift
Author: Topazowl
Category: Gen
Word Count: 1164
Story Notes: Set in 2007 in the lull before the final Ori attack.
This was meant to be a J/D story that had them on honeymoon in England but it was getting long and I want to spend more time on it and I needed to do more research as it’s ages since I watched Torchwood too so I wrote this little piece today (1st March) for the soup.

“Jack, what are you doing here again?” Some scenarios repeat themselves and General Jack O’Neill stood in full dress blues at the door of Doctor Daniel Jackson’s office.
“Nice to see you too, Daniel. Wish it was in better circumstances but I need you in the briefing room, NOW,” he finished with a louder voice as it was obvious that Daniel was about to prevaricate.
Suitably chastised, Daniel rose and they headed to the elevator.
“Gonna give me a clue?
“Nope.”
“Not even a teensy, weensy one?”
“Only think 1969.” Daniel shut up; that was a cue word they used to indicate something was amiss with a timeline.

Title: Normal Is Relative
Author: Cassie Morgan (badfalcon)
Thanks you: to the fantastic charlies_dragon for her betaing, poking and cheerleading duties
Summary: Normal is never the term Jack would use for the doodads and thingamajigs they bring back through the Stargate. Especially when one of those doohickeys drags a future version of himself back in time ( ... )

Title: Time Travel Alphabet Soup - J is for Just a Little Pocket Change

Season/Episode: Season 2, 1969

Warnings: Duh... it's time travel. Don't blame me if your brain ends up in a bit of a knot!

Disclaimer: No prophet, no profit, no reason to come after me. Really!

Time Travel Alphabet Soup - J is for Just a Little Pocket ChangeThe woods were quiet, and the fire had died down to embers. The only sound was the sound of the wind in the trees, and an occasional truck downshifting, out of sight up on the road. This particular campsite had been one of the less desirable ones because it was closer to the road, but Jack and Michael, who had picked it out, were more interested in price than communing with nature. The midnight hour had passed long ago, and the others were on the bus, asleep. Well, all except for Teal'c. He would have waited for Jenny and Michael to be sound asleep, and then risen from his pretended sleep to kel'no'reem ( ... )
