I love love love your narrative style. There is such an ease to your story-telling, and to how you capture everyone's voices. Just fantastic.
Teal'c glanced at him, his head tipped, and Daniel wondered if he was getting this condescending courtesy because Teal'c thought non-warrior types needed to be indulged because of their inadequacies. But, then, Teal'c gave this kind of courtesy to Sam, and to the general, so maybe it was just his way of being nice.
This made me laugh so much.
Also, Daniel's early inability to grasp the concept of a team rang really true. I loved this part: You go--we go. You stay--we stay. He didn't think that was actually practical or possible, but it was a good sentiment. And him arguing, two things vs. one thing. Also, Teal'c only got one POV but it was bloody brilliant.

(Has Daniel ever really grasped the idea of 'team'? I think he sort of gets it, but even with The Shroud, he's like, 'well I'll go off and do all this dangerous stuff and you guys just stay here.')
And thanks so much...I don't think there's a better compliment than a story keeping someone up.

It was really nice to see all their self evalutations and evaluations of each other and working through the puzzles and being there emotionally for each other even when they didn't really know each other!
I also liked how you explained that difference between the Stargate movie canon and the tv series canon. Very nice.

So many details were just lovely and perfect and right, so right. Like Sam and Daniel with their "trading cards" and Daniel not getting what a team is, and Teal'c and Jack both thinking that they need to teach each other a code, and yeah, four is a lucky number.
Super wonderful stuff.
