There's this editorial-Syfy Kills Stargate Universe (SGU) and Reputation-that proposes that after Stargate Universe is done, people will discontinue watching anything on Syfy as a manner of protest.

So, here's a quick poll to get some discussion going:

Option #5: I haven't watched SyFy since SG-1 and/or SGA went off the air.

I'm in the UK so Stargate is shown on the Sky satellite channels.

At the moment Sky is showing re-runs of SG-1 seasons 8(7left to show), 9 and 10 - ending June 2nd

Stargate Atlantis starts it re-runs with Rising Parts 1 & 2 on 2nd June.

I watch Eureka, Warehouse 13, Being There, Haven and Sanctuary. David Hewlett narrates "Urban Legends" and I gotta support David! Plus I'm still waiting for David's "Evil Snow Monkey" movie and Hewlett and Picardo's "Morlocks" movie to air.

I really tried to watch SGU. I gave it 10 episodes and it was too much work trying to like it. I couldn't make it to the end of any of those 10. I tuned in for the Season 1 finale and it was better but by that time I was so frustrated with the show I didn't care. I watched David Hewlett and Robert Picardo's guest star episode because of my fondness for SGA. I wondered if I was actually watching McKay and Woolsey or if it was their consciousness in other bodies (I hate hate hate those stupid stones).

The only thing I'm watching now are the SG-1 reruns. If those go, I'm gone too.

I watch Eureka, and enjoy it. I've watched all of Warehouse 13, but am getting more lukewarm on that one, so may or may not keep going with it.

I watched Sanctuary for awhile, but it's just not my thing--wishing AT and co. all the best, but except for watching the Michael Shanks ep, have not watched it for a long time.

Stargate was never the same for me after the end of Season 8 (yes, when Jack left). I continued to watch, but cared much less. I watched all of Atlantis and often enjoyed them, but I never had the same interest in it as in SG1. SGU I gave 3 tries, and then said forget it, watching only once more when Jack was on again. I really disliked that show a lot, and felt it should never have been picked up for s. 2. So I'd say SyFy made the right call, just a year late, on that one.

I have all of SG1 on dvd so I never watch SyFy other than to see Eureka and W 13 when they are on. Getting so many non-scifi shows on there seems nutty to me, and very unfortunate for those of us who do love a good science fiction show
