There's this editorial-Syfy Kills Stargate Universe (SGU) and Reputation-that proposes that after Stargate Universe is done, people will discontinue watching anything on Syfy as a manner of protest.

So, here's a quick poll to get some discussion going:

Poll Will you continue to watch Syfy after Stargate is done? There are other sci-fi shows out there that are not being aired by Syfy, of course, so we're ( Read more... )

Well, considering I haven't watched anything on SyFy since about midway through SGA's run, this is a moot point for me.

With their invasive and annoying ads, if there's anything I want to watch on the channel (and there's not at the moment), I'll just wait for the DVD.

People have said they're going to stop watching various channels, including Sci Fi/SyFy, after a multitude of show cancellations. The thing is, if those shows were getting such great numbers, they wouldn't have been cancelled. If people stop watching and don't have a Nielson box, then it doesn't matter anyway -- they didn't exist in the first place. A hard fact, but a real one, from a person who doesn't "exist" either.

I'm non-existent too, so I don't really count as well. :)

I rarely watch shows "live" anyway. I've depended on Hulu and Comcast On Demand and sometimes even the channel's website to watch "TV".

I think the "I'm going to stop watching your channel!" threats have even less power than they ever did. Not only do most of those people not even blip in the ratings in the first place, a lot of them are watching via alternate means anyway.

It's more of a protest action, which is fine, but it's not really going to hurt the network one bit.

I almost quit watching Syfy when SGA was canceled, but I do watch the occasional Eureka and Being Human episodes, SGA or SG1 reruns and, of course I watched Ferocious Planet with Joe F a few weeks back.

I've never watched SGU, so that doesn't have much of an impact on my viewing.

I forgot about Ferocious Planet, possibly because I wanted to smack them over the non-ending. I did watch that one, after saying I haven't watched anything on the channel in years. Joe F or Hewlett are among the very few who could make me suffer through the channel's intrusive and annoying commercials.

We watch Eureka, Sanctuary, and Warehouse 13 weekly- so I voted the first option.

The Stargate franchise ended for me with the cancellation of Atlantis, I watched 10yrs of SG-1 and 5yrs of SGA. I did not watch SGU.

i download everything I watch, but if i did live in the US of A and i had SyFy, then i would still watch the channel for the goodness that is Haven. other than that the channel can go spin.

I watch Sanctuary, Warehouse 13, and Eureka on SyFy, so yeah, I'll stick it out for now.
