Characters Your Mod Forgot About

Because there are at least three major characters that were accidentally overlooked...one of the next rounds will have a sidebar poll for Characters Your Dumb Mod Forgot About.

Are all the Xena people relatively main/important characters? I know Ares and Joxer are (thanks, TV Tropes), but what about Alti and Ephiny? The Oops poll is designed to cover the main and important characters that were skipped because I'm ignorant of the fandom or just momentarily stupid.

(as a side note, the Xena character page on Wikipedia is horrendous and is what directly led to what I'm sure seemed to everyone as some pretty random character choices to go into the prelims)

Why are the characters split by gender at all?

ETA: I did read the profile page, so I get that you're having one male and one female represent each fandom, I'm just not clear on WHY. Not trying to be a jerk, just curious!

To be honest, because we didn't have enough time to come up with 64 sci-fi/fantasy fandoms.

Doing this at all was a pretty last-minute decision, so we ran with 32 fandoms represented by two characters each (and splitting it down the middle by gender was the easiest way to do it). We're going to have a Big Damn Fandom Suggestion List at the end where hopefully people will chime in with fandoms we forgot about (we purposely excluded anything that was part of Fandom March Madness this year; we may change that next year) to help fill out the bracket next year.

Oh man. Having to choose between my favorite ladies in this round has been hard enough. I can't imagine what a whole bracket of awesome women would do to my feelings.
