Sometimes I feel so freaking old. Like at work yesterday, a six-year-old asked me if I had any SONS. And I was like, uh, no, I don't have any sons...And then he asked me if I had a husband. You sound so victorious when you say everyone gets old and dies someday. Of course, when it happens to HIM, you probably WILL have a husband and son at that time.

also today i realized that the rugrats movie came out in 1998. that's like TEN years ago. today i realized it came out before all of the kids at work were even BORN yet. FUCK!!!

I don't think 6 year olds are very good at comprehending statements that require them to use their imagination to come up with the answer. and i think it's funny that you took it personally when a 6 old asked you if you had any sons, and then if you had a husband, because he didn't mention that you were old in either of those statements, but you answered him by saying you weren't as old as he thought you were. I bet he wasn't even thinking you were old at all, in fact i bet he just was wondering because you looked like an adult, but you still looked young, and didn't know if girls who looked like you were married or had kids.. I remember when i was six and i had my babysitters who were preobably in there mid teens, and i thought they were way older than that because they were so big. I guess i just thought of big people as one type of person.
