I hate Verizon so much

So I recently moved and told Verizon to transfer my service over. I order on the 30th last month, they tell me it's going to be ready on the 2nd. It's not, I call them, they tell me oops, phone is 2nd, internet is 10th. Still not working on the 10th. They cancelled your order? Did they still charge you for your initial order? If not, then consider yourself lucky they're not screwing you even further. I've heard too many horror stories concerning all the major telecoms.

FairPoint is the exact same way (they're a tiny company that bought out all of Verizon's operations in Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire and don't have a goddamn idea what they're doing

I wanted to switch over to Comcast, but it's twice the price of Verizon DSL and I don't really need faster internet, so I'm stuck complaining to Verizon until they either fix my internet or I get fed up and pay the extra money for a better internet provider.
