So I'm happily organizing music files on Thursday, lalala, when the computer dies. It was like somebody yanked the cord out of the wall. So I did what I could... which was randomly pushing the power button every five minutes, and then taking a shower because clearly the problem would resolve itself once I was non-sweaty.

I had/have an HP laptop. Ugggghhhh! It has NEVER worked properly. I've had to reinstall Three, yes THREE, times. It has been "repaired" (insert sarcasm) by HP and had more technical support than the Hubble.

Your computer is named Hector. Is he hispanic? That would partly explain his temperamental nature. "g" m

Oh man, THREE times??? Were they able to save your data all three times? I just hate this factory settings thing! I can't remember how to change stuff around, I can't find files. It's frustrating as hell.
