An Update / Let's Get Healthy?

So, the new computer that I got in March will not connect to the internet at all now. It says that the ethernet cord is unplugged, meanwhile I don't even *have* an ethernet cord. My computer runs off Amy's WiFi. I checked for appropriate drivers and did a few other things. Robbie doesn't know what the problem is. I called the store where I bought ( Read more... )

Ugh on the computer! If you don't have anything on the new computer that you'll lose, then a factory reset might be a good place to start.

I feel you on that, sister. I wish I was one of those people who lost their appetite when worried/stressed. Hah. Two suggestions: pineapple and bananas. Pineapple is supposed to be good for sore muscles. Bananas contain a lot of potassium which is also good for your muscles. Bananas are usually cheap this time of year. Fresh pineapple is always a crapshoot, but canned will work, too.

Aw, but you're not unhealthy either. You've just had a setback. Honestly, being transparent and admitting that you're struggling is part of the process. If it was easy all the time, we'd all be thin, right? *hugs*

So true! And thanks for the suggestions and the mental lift and reminding me that struggling is part of the process. I restarted Let's Get Healthy for reals yesterday. I can do it! (Also, I loooooooove bananas.)

I am so sorry to hear about your computer problems. That really sucks! I hope you get it sorted out quickly.

I have not been doing very well either. It's crazy how we are not doing well together after doing so well together. LOL You are truly my diet twin. After not losing a thing last week, I did manage to lose 0.5 lbs. After the week I had, I'll take it. I have to get back at it. Nothing major has been happening, I am just getting tired of eating the same old stuff and it's been too hot to walk. I am going to pick a few new recipes this week to try and try to fit in some more walking and if I can't I need to walk to Leslie Sansone in my air conditioned house. All this after ice cream tonight... my son brought me home a cup of some marshmallow smores ice cream from work and damn it I'm going to enjoy it and not feel guilty! lol

HUGS I hope this week goes better! We can do this!

I'm still using my old computer and trying not to think about the other one until the weekend.

Oh man. We must be sharing exercise "cycles", LOL! I'm glad you managed to at least lose a little. After posting this on Friday I promptly fell right back off the wagon. But I officially restarted Let's Get Healthy on Monday. We are totally going to get back on track!

Meanwhile, I totally hear you about the food and the heat. It's 39C/102F here today with scorching humidity. Amy has the air conditioning on but even so I have my fan going and when I step away from it I feel too hot to exercise!
