All of my LJ entries appear to have imported over to Dreamwidth, woot woot!! I am surprised it worked because there are 19 years worth of entries. I checked a few random posts, including one from 2006, and all the photos appear to have made their way there too. None of the comments made it over, but that's okay. This is exciting

Fantastic! I am haldoor over there too. Cross-posting doesn't work at the moment because of some crap LJ pulled, but you can always copy and paste from one to the other. The only tricksy part is pictures, which you'll need to load separately in each.

It'd been a while since I exported to DW so I knew there was some extra stuff here that hadn't made it over (cause LJ is my primary) but I was pleased to see everything over there.

And now I can exhale.

Definitely. I've been a little crazy about checking LJ today as if it's going to blink out of existence at any second. Last night I copied all of my icons into a folder just in case. I only need to do something with my "end of the year" scheduled entry.

I just realized that with all the commotion yesterday that I didn't even think about writing anything other than my morning journal. Whoops. New streak starts today, I guess.

I know what you mean. Even thought I've read that the whole Russians servers whatchamacallit doesn't meant what people think it means, I also don't trust very much these days. I decided to use this as an opportunity to downsize so I uploaded all the icons I wanted to save into DW and left the rest. I also had to save/send myself the things I wanted to save off my hard drive because of the new computer coming. It was a pretty crazy day, definitely.
