It worked!
All of my LJ entries appear to have imported over to Dreamwidth, woot woot!! I am surprised it worked because there are 19 years worth of entries. I checked a few random posts, including one from 2006, and all the photos appear to have made their way there too. None of the comments made it over, but that's okay. This is exciting.
When I first decided to use my DW my intention was to keep the two journals separate, because it just seemed like too much hassle to cross-post everything manually. I have a permanent LJ acct and didn't intend to move. But of all the reasons to ditch LJ, this most recent one is the only one I understand and fully agree with. Not that I will be ditching LJ, because permanent account. I'll do the cross-posting that I didn't want to do in the first place, and I'll hope that LJ sticks around because there's some awesome people here!
