So, over at DW I joined a writing community called writetomyheart. It's a round-robin-ish challenge where you have to use all or part of the last sentence in the fic that was written before you to start the fic that you write. Other than that, the fics are not connected. Any fandom or original writing is allowed

Sweet! I like how you go through their whole relationship in a paragraph because it feels like that's how Matt's mind works. Like the immediate disconnect of "I'm a grandparent" to "well, this happened and this and this and this" and then the lightbulb goes off and "wow, I guess I am a grandparent."

And between the two of them, Emily is going to be so spoiled.

With writetomyheart, I think they'll ping you by your preferred form of contact if the person before you has posted on the other platform. (I get messaged by the mod on LJ when it's my turn regardless, because LJ hasn't been giving me notifications for username pings like it should.) Cool to see another person I know on the comm!

This is such a warm story. I love the way you wrote their 7 years of relationship development in minimal sentences. Also the paragraph in the middle is great - "and the hospitalizations (both)" really got me. Thank you for sharing.
