Over at DW a comm just put forth the challenge to *make our own challenge*, which coincided nicely with something I've been thinking on for a few weeks.
So, in the past 5 years or so I have gained a lot of weight. Like, A LOT. This is partially because I have just started eating way too much, and partially because I can't exercise anymore. (My

I can do a weekly check-in post or something, even.
(And FWIW, I need to lose well more than 50, LOL. But 50 is a nice place to start. :D)

For me I actually need to lose 52 pounds to be at the very line for a "normal" BMI... like even 1 pound over I'd be back to "overweight." I usually hover in the "overweight" but the last two years I've been in the "obese" range. Ugh! I think 50 is a great goal. My blood work numbers are horrible this year and I am pre-diabetic and middle age and I really need to do something. I just feel terrible all the time and disgusted with myself.
So ironic, I was just sitting here in front of the computer planning out my meals for the week, trying to choose healthy options, and your post comes up. It was meant to be Feb 1st! :D

Hey, I could use to lose too, but I'm a metric gal, so 25kg is around the 50lb mark and I'll aim for that. I don't eat too badly, but I could cut out snacks, and eat healthier takeaways when I do those, so that would help. I think I'll do a food diary to help keep me on track.
My main thing though is exercise! I find it so hard to motivate myself, so having someone or something to be accountable to would certainly help.
I'm going to aim for 2 to 3 walks per week, and something else at home at least twice a week. I'll look into what will work for me and post something soon!
Thank you for the inspiration! Feb 1st! ;-)

I soooo hear you on the exercise! Especially when it's too hot (there) or too cold (here), LOL. I hope that knowing that it's expected of us all will help!
