If you're looking for a rescue/sanctuary to donate to, could I point you to Barn Sanctuary? https://www.barnsanctuary.org/ They're a non-profit in Michigan that rescues abandoned and abused farm animals across the country.

I've just spend eons looking around the Barn Sanctuary site! It looks very much like HEEFS, which is near and dear to my heart. AND they offer a monthly donation option! (I can't give much monthly, but I could surely sponsor a chicken!) Thank you for mentioning them. I am not starting that goal until January but Barn is at the top of my list. :)

It's a really great organization, honestly. Hey, even a small amount regularly helps! I've seen that with local rescues even. I'm glad that you found them to be a good cause.

Yeah, absolutely. I'm hoping that someday I'll be able to actually visit HEEFS. :)
