Updated

Goal 67. This goal was originally "Adopt an animal for one year". I checked soooo many online adoption style organizations and the vast majority of them only do one-time donations. So, I have changed this goal to "Donate to one additional animal sanctuary/rehab per month for one year".

Today was also the finale of The Block NZ. This has seriously been the longest Block series ever. It started in late February of 2020. They could only work on the renos for about 2 weeks before they were shut down because of COVID. And because New Zealand took COVID so seriously, they were shut down for a YEAR. They finally got back and finished the remaining 8 or 9 weeks in April of 2021. After that, they still couldn't hold the auctions due to COVID. So finally, FINALLY it happened today with a virtual auction, as only 3 of the 8 team members could actually attend (Auckland, where the houses are located, is still in lockdown, so only locals could be there) and all the bidders were on video.

Imagine waiting all that time to find out if you've been successful and won any money? My second favourite team, Tim and Arty, took out the $100,000 prize and made $660,000 over their reserve. Well done! I enjoyed seeing Good Luck Duck again, too. My fave team, Dylan the spreadsheet lovin' banker and his super-laid-back brother Keegan, came in second with a profit of $590,000. Not too shabby. And my least fave team came last, so HAH.
