There was actually a short-lived TV series based off Sh*t My Dad Says and I want to say it had William Shatner in it. Sorry the Zombie book was so awful though. :/

That makes total sense to me, because he comes off like a sitcom dad. I'm relatively certain most of the stuff in the book was exaggerated for comic effect.

I'm positive you're right about that, too. So, that's why you take it as fiction and just enjoy it.
