Life update:

  • Still struggling with working on the next chapter of "The Long Road".
  • The work stress has mostly eased off now, thank goodness. I can relax again.
  • Scrapbooking like a mad woman! Who knew I would get sooo much enjoyment out of arranging photos and cutting out borders? My scrapbooks are the simplest things ever but I love them.

I've been to Casa Loma in Toronto and it's the most amazing place. My photos turned out so well. I loved it. We had a rushed visit because the tour bus was supposed to be back in 30 minutes but didn't turn up for at least another 15 mins so we could have spent more time there. Beautifully decorated and a great view from there. Don't forget to go to "Out in the Street" in Church Street where lots of QaF was filmed and they have great gifts and mags and bracelets. I bought two and am still wearing my gay pride one most days.

We only had two nights there - one day on a QaF walking tour (8 hours) which was so worth it and I spent another 2 hours or so talking to wildsweetcool who does these tours. PM me if you want details.

I live 45 minutes from Toronto and a friend lives there so I've been to Toronto literally hundreds of times, yet I've never really done all the "touristy" type things -- I guess that's what happens when the city is in your backyard! I'm really looking forward to Casa Loma! I'm a big planner and in our basic itinerary -- required because we only have three days! -- I've allocated about 3.5 hours for Casa Loma. I hope that's enough!

This is about my 6th or 7th Pride. It's so funny that you mention "Out On The Street" because I always refer to that as "my store". LOL I love their little knick-knacks. :) I've done most of the QaF locations multiple times, but thank you for the offer. :)

Congrats on the weight loss and cutting back on the Pepsi. I'm still a diet Coke/Pepsi drinker, but I've tried to limit to 2 a day.

I think the idea of planting the flowers is beautiful and will be meaningful for all of you! *HUGS*

Thanks! I'm sure I won't see results like that every week, but it was very inspiring for the first week anyway. :)

The flower planting went really well. The plot looks so pretty!

I have opinions on Adam Lambert's AI win...

    Sadly, Adam didn't win. :-)
