Life update:
Still struggling with working on the next chapter of "The Long Road".
The work stress has mostly eased off now, thank goodness. I can relax again.
Scrapbooking like a mad woman! Who knew I would get sooo much enjoyment out of arranging photos and cutting out borders? My scrapbooks are the simplest things ever but I love them.
Pride Toronto in less than a month! All my money is saved for the weekend. We are planning to go to Casa Loma as well, and of course the Worlds Biggest Bookstore. Both Krystle and I need vacations sooooo badly! I am psyched. And also hoping for warm weather.
I have opinions on Adam Lambert's AI win second place finish and the finales of The Amazing Race and Last Cake Standing, but I am not going to subject you to them. Because I am a nice person. ;D
Weeks 63 to 65
In Progress
#21. Read 130 books
81. Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood - Loved it. Thought-provoking yet somewhat whimsical.
82. The DaVinci Code by Dan Brown - Lots of tell, not enough show. I did like trying to solve the clues.
83. Silent Bob Speaks by Kevin Smith - Interesting!
39. Watch 50 movies
44. I, Robot with Will Smith (re-watch)
45. Terminator Salvation with Christian Bale - Okay, there's cheesy bits. And there's the moments when you roll your eyes and go, "Really? You're really doing that, screenwriter?" But this is JOHN CONNOR. And I am so in love with the whole Terminator (movie) mythology. There is a moment when Christian Bale as Connor is making a shortwave radio broadcast that just sent shivers down my spine. I would love it if the movie had spent more time on John Connor and less on the new Marcus character, but to my mind this movie is a valid addition to the Terminator franchise.
#49 - Drink no more than 1 can of Pepsi/day for 1 month
(1/30) Just started this one on Saturday. So far, so good. ;)
#56 - Lose 50 pounds
(5/50) At the end of Week One, I have lost 5 pounds.
#70 - Print photos monthly to avoid backlog
(4/22) May is done. :)
Goal List Today we (me, my sisters, bro-in-laws, and Krystle) are going to the cemetery to plant flowers. I am looking forward to it. That might sound a little weird, but I guess it's because I like making mom's "home" beautiful. She loved flowers and gardening so I know it's something that would make her happy. I'm so glad the warm weather is finally here.
I'll be back...
