Scrapbooking is definitely something I have to actually schedule time to do. It takes me a long time -- which is quite pathetic because my pages are incredibly simple! -- but I love doing it.

Colin & Justin were FUNNY! They gave a great talk. The place was packed; Krystle and I had to stand. I had no idea until last week that they've been partners for over 20 years and recently got married. :)

From someone who can hardly STOP redecorating:

You can't make an omelet without breaking eggs; i.e., there going to be awkward periods. It's easier to deal with if you don't set up unrealistic timetables. Which is not to say it may not go more smoothly than you expect. FanSee

P.S. A tip of the hat from another re-reader.

Argh, you said it. I've got my desk pulled out into the middle of the room right now, and just finished priming and painting the kitchen and computer nook today. All my kitchen counter stuff was piled in my living room. I'm very organized and tidy and I CAN'T STAND IT! I killed myself getting the kitchen done today just so I could move everything back in there at least! It's definitely going to take longer than I planned, but that's okay because the sofa's not going to get here for another 3 weeks at the earliest!

I only keep books that I love and cherish, and re-read all the time! :)

I'll try to answer Watchmen... viola69 March 10 2009, 03:23:18 UTC
In a non-spoilery way. Sorta Superheroes, but only one has 'super' powers - the rest are people who chose to put on a mask and fight crime or... just fight.
It's a AU period piece & character study of who would be the kind of person to chose to put on a mask & how that screws them up especially when the world around them forces them to take it off. 2 generations of 'Watchmen' have influences the world & not necessarily for the better, it's 1985 & President Nixon who is on his 5th term is locked in heated nuclear standoff with Russia. With that background, it's basically a murder mystery when The Comedian, or rather his alter ego is murdered and some wonder if the murderer is trying to kill off the Watchmen.

The Book or graphic novel on which it is based was picked by Time magazine as one of the most influential novels of this century- I finally read it last week in anticipation of the movie. I went on Friday - and 2 thumbs up. But it's not a Dark Knight, nor an Iron Man - just a completely different beast in a lot of ways.

Aaah, thanks for the answer. It actually sounds quite interesting, but I often say that about 'superhero' type movies and then... well, for some reason I just can't believe in those worlds. It sounds like something I'll rent, though. :)

If your plan for next week's home maintenance schedule works out that would be great and you wouldn't have to be without curtains too long. I hate that "fishbowl" feeling. Good luck!

Well, turns out the sofa can't be delivered for 3-5 weeks, so I have more time than I thought. Good thing because it's taking a lot longer to paint than I thought as well -- plus I'm doing a bunch of other cleaning/reno things as I go through each room. :)

Thanks, I'm trying! Things are progressing slower than I planned but that's okay -- I have more time now because the sofa won't be delivered for another 3-5 weeks!
