I think a lot of the votes are based not on singing but, as you said, on fanbase and charm. And as far as I'm concerned, as long as Jai stays in, I'm happy. Hopefully his singing partner next week will be less scary than Taylor Dayne was this week.

However, approximately .001 percent of the male population can pull off the tattoo sleeve and look hot. Brian Setzer comes to mind. YOWZA.

I honestly thought the QaF fanbase would take Hal further. I was as shocked as he was to see that CHEECH has more fans than him. I don't think Hal found it as amusing as I did, though. ;)
Next week they're booting off two people. I had originally guessed Jai, Alfonso, Hal (in that order) for the top 3, but seeing that the Xena fans are out in force, I think Hal's a goner this week. Unless all the Michael fans (ARE there Michael fans?) got a scare put in 'em last week and start power voting.
They sure ramped up the special effects for Hal's song on Friday, didn't they? :)
I read somewhere (twop?) it called "The Chris Daughtry Memorial Lightshow". I peed my pants.
I also think all of them would do better if they were purposely paired with established singers whose styles/ranges they'd match.Oh, I think that's what they're trying to do. They put Carly with a bubble-gum pop singer; Cheech with a country singer (last week) so he could basically talk his way through the song; Hal with the "rock" singer. Given the limitations of what
