I am having way to much fun making fun of the as mother puts it "special" FBI unit. At least they finally let them put some puzzle pieces together. I knew from episode 1 the pregnancy test was Marcy's. Did the give any explanation for Kelton's relationship with the priest? I missed the beginning of that scene.

And Kelton was standing right outside the open door when the Senator and his ex were loudly discussing Marcy's pregnancy. So I guess that's not a secret to the FBI anymore?

I knew from episode 1 the pregnancy test was Marcy's.

Yup, and once the Senator did that whole "sleeping with an underaged girl ick" thing to Judge Rainer last week, I figured the girl would be Marcy. I am still ewww-ing over here.

Did the give any explanation for Kelton's relationship with the priest? I missed the beginning of that scene.

I think they're just Catholic (or at least, Ava and Inez are, Kelton seems pretty lapsed to me) and active in the church and thus have a friendship with the priest.

This is the first ep where I started seeing Kelton, as well. I like some soap w/my drama.

Liked this ep most because it wasn't as "busy"/unfocused.

It definitely wasn't as 'fun' as Ep.3 but I enjoyed it. I still think they're moving through clues/plot points/stages/whatever too fast. It's kind of a breakneck pace and the audience needs to be able to breathe and *think* about what's been revealed before the next thing happens.

Also, it would be nice if they didn't have Kelton and Mei TELL US everything - give the audience credit, for example, that we can look at the sign on the reservoir that says "1996" and actually count backwards 10 years to realize that it coincides with the mayor's wife's disappearance, and not need to be TOLD. Stuff like that bugs me.

I agree, they assume the audience is not intelligent enough.

The plastic hands bothered me, too. That kid was too smart AND must have seen her doc wear those at some point.

omg yes, the plastic hands. That was annoying. Like the kid wouldn't recognize gloves.

What is up with Mei KILLING the gun-wielding Bad Guy? Okay yeah, so Kelton was getting strangled, but hey, ever thought about shooting the Bad Guy in the LEG? You know, so you can interrogate him and stuff?

THANK YOU! I think I yelled at her.

Also good to know that the FBI doesn't bother with any pesky internal investigations when one of their agents pulls a weapon and shoots someone. Nope, the next day she just gets free coffee.

*snerk* I totally agree. And did you notice that Kelton was wearing the SAME clothes he was attacked in and they were all clean when he left the crime scene to go buy Mei coffee? That was just odd.

And in summary: OMG GALE PRETTY.

*squees with you*

It reminded me of "Lethal Weapon" when Danny Glover is lecturing Mel Gibson about keeping suspects alive for interrogation... and then Mel goes and kills one.

Kelton was wearing the SAME clothes he was attacked in

I did not notice! Perhaps he just bought multiples of the same suit because he liked it so much. LOL

Ava Bitch. Judy Bitch. Marcie Stupid. Masons=old order originally started by freemasons, or stoneworkers. See Wiki for background...

Gale Pretty...

:)

That said,. I liked it better, too. I saw some snarkiness in there.

Nah, no Wiki. I think a well-written show should be able to explain what the audience needs to know without expecting the audience to do research! And also, without making it sound like they are explaining to the audience. Which Vanished has actually not been able to do so far...

The Masonic Order is pretty well known in the South-since the show takes place in Georgia, I would think most people would know about it. My dad, grandfather, etc, have all belonged to it-Hell, I even belonged to the Rainbow Girls (don't laugh!)

But yes, I can see where you are coming from. Most people below 50, or not from the South, would have no clue what it is. I really can't see the writers being able to work the history in easily.

What? No Job's Daughters?! lol I don't know much about them, either, but I agree with you. I don't think you can really explain the Masonic Order very easily.

Gale does that subtle angst very well (as we all know!) so I loved that scene with Ava.
