Vanished Episode 4
So if they were going for Serious Drama in the first two episodes and Cracktastic Fun in the third, the 4th ep seems to have reached a happy medium. (I'd have rather stuck with Cracktastic Fun, but hey, that's me.)
Kelton and Inez! I'm NOT one of those people who is all "oooh Brian with a baby makes me melt" but I must admit I loved his scenes with Inez, even though the kid really can't act and was dressed like a nun. Also, Gale got the chance to show some emotion and be a little bit subtle and it was goooood, baby.
YAY FOR KELTON BACKSTORY! Ava is pretty. And petty. I could totally see Inez as their kid.
This is SUCH a soap opera. I can get behind that.
Scene I loved:
Judy Nash: I'll show you mine if you show me yours.
Kelton: *'in your dreams bitch' stare*
What is up with Mei KILLING the gun-wielding Bad Guy? Okay yeah, so Kelton was getting strangled, but hey, ever thought about shooting the Bad Guy in the LEG? You know, so you can interrogate him and stuff?
Also good to know that the FBI doesn't bother with any pesky internal investigations when one of their agents pulls a weapon and shoots someone. Nope, the next day she just gets free coffee.
I loved Gale's confronting the Senator about how he knew the Kidnapper Dude wanted the Senator's vote. That's probably been the first scene where I was never thinking Gale-thoughts but instead was just immersed in the character of Kelton himself. Good acting by both of them there.
Oh. And Marcy and Judge Rainer. Not exactly a surprise. I wonder if she continued to carry on with him in secret and her baby is actually his? Also, ewwww.
Would you really sneak off during the party in your parents house to have sex with the creepy older guy you're secretly fucking? God, I hope not.
I know nothing about the masons or the Masonic Order or whatever, so I hope there's some kind of explanation for us dumb people.
And in summary: OMG GALE PRETTY.
