Went to see Henry Rollins at his spoken word show last night. I was MUCH impressed with the show itself. He's intelligent, VERY funny, and insightful. Jenny and I met him afterward and hey phluphee, you were right! He is, indeed, VERY SHORT. Jen stood next to him to get her pic taken with him, so based on that I'd say he's about 5'7

Memo to self: Never piss off Henry Rollins.

*laughs* I'd say he was mellowing in his old age. At least he didn't try to punch her or spit on her, which he might've done in the past...

The one time I met him he was very cool, and a friend of mine wrote him a long and rambling letter about life and parents and how much it all sucks, and he actually responded with a pretty cool note about not letting the fuckers get you down.

I think his new(er) image as this actor/musician/writer makes people think he's gone a bit... soft, when he's still the same guy he was 20, 30 years ago.

Well, after she left he told us all in great detail exactly what she'd said in her letter. And yeah, I agree with Henry that she had a lot of nerve to diss him privately and then expect everything to be nicey-nice in public.

But I fail to see how releasing all that anger and hate did any good. Henry seemed just as worked up about it after she left, so it's not like the venting was cathartic in any way. And the girl sure as hell was shaken up and very disillusioned. All this did was spread the anger around.

He did sign a Black Flag album for someone though, which I thought was cool. I kept expecting him to hit the person over the head with it. ;)

LOL!!!!! lovin that memo to self you typed heehee thanks for being my "date" for the evening, carrier of the CDs and camera, and photographer you have oh so many wonderful talents if only everyone could appreciate them all i know that i do :)

so is it safe to say we can expect to be doing this sometime again next year???? i sure hope so :)

hope tomorrow goes by so very fast and that you are successful in tuning out all the people that usually drive you nuts, but dont realize it as much because i am there sitting in cuba (trying desperately to kick your ass at the c/w duel) no more time off for me for the rest of april so no need to worry anymore

gotta go i need some sleep i hate putting the clocks ahead :(
