The screen of my phone reads 'Willow Rosenberg' and then the number. Glancing at Giles, who was frowning, 'cause Xander was still missing, I shrugged and pushed the 'call' button

Kennedy had left after our little talk. Not that this got us like anywhere, but duty calls and... stuff. I guess. I dunno where she rushed off to. But as it was, I stayed behind at the hotel. Being bored out of my mind. I'd been doing levitations spells just to have something to do. If Giles would see me, I'd get a lecture of a lifetime for sure

Ah yes, calling Willow seems like the sensible thing to do. She was after all an experienced witch. If she wouldn’t use those powers for silly frivolities like levitating pencils or the likes. She had this knack for doing that anyway. Perhaps she and I should have a talk.
I started to pace the floor while I listened to Dawn ramble on the phone. I swear, those girls have a language of their own. They talk so fast, I’m surprised anyone can keep up. I certainly can’t, no matter how hard I tried. Buffy and Willow are just as bad. It’s only a matter of time before Kennedy and Faith join in.
Glancing out the window, I stretched a bit in the hope to see Xander. Still no sight of the boy. Where in the devils name did he run off to? There’s not some fast food place near by he’s been mysteriously lured at is it? “Will she be here?” I asked over my shoulder.
"That's where he said he went," I tell her, rolling my eyes although I know she can't see me. "Alright, Wil. Hurry up, Giles is about to lose it over here." We say goodbye and I snap the phone closed, then look at Giles.
"She says she'll be right over and that I should keep you calm," I inform him, watching him pace back and forth. "So, um... should we go outside or something? See if Xander's out there, and then when Wil gets here, we can meet her?"
Eh, it's just a suggestion. But I think we should get some air before Giles does the big wigging.
“Okay dokay, Dawnie,” I nodded into the phone Suddenly realizing she couldn’t like, see it, I blushed and cleared my throat. “I’ll be right over.”
Clicking off the phone, I snatched up the keys to the rental car and quickly scribbled a not for Kennedy, so she’d know where to find me if she got back. I felt silly drawing a few hearts underneath my name, but that grin wouldn’t just go away. I’d missed this. I’d missed feeling as though I belonged with someone.
Grabbing my coat, I jogged out of the hotel and over to the car. Now, lets see what Cleveland traffic is like. Considering I’m used to Sunnydale and occasionally risked going into frightening LA, this should be a piece of cake! Right? Right. Like no problem at all. I slid into the car, started the engine and stared at the funny looking…pole… “….Uh….”
"That yellow crayon connection?" I raise my eyebrows at Xander, then shrug. "Think happy thoughts, then. And think hard." If he wants to try and contact Willow telepathically, he can be my guest.
"Although we do have this old-fashioned way called the phone," I remind him, holding up my cell. Giles may not be down with the wireless talking, but I'm pretty sure he's still got one of those rotary-dial things tucked away somewhere. Xander and I are happy children of the twentieth century. Well, more or less.
"Waiting, waiting," I mutter under my breath, hopping lightly from foot to foot and staring out towards the road. There's only so much one can do in a situation like this and I think we've done it all. I hate waiting.
