I always liked to think of it terms of that Jack does expect a certain form of order to his world. This order includes pirates being unwashed and rumsoaked. It also includes Norringtons being all proper with shiny buttons and clean-shaven. He can't quite keep enjoying the irony when it creates a fundamental wrongness in his universe.

Wonderful pieces, especially the PotC drabble (I have a thing for Scruffington beeing groomed... yummm), not to mention LoM (the second one is pure genius, hehe) and Hot Fuzz. ♥

I always wished we had a in-between phase for Norrington. Cleaned up, but not yet back in uniform and wig. It would've be gorgeous.

Considering how many batshit theories LoM fans have come up with over time, I can imagine Sam managed a few of his own.

Okay, my favorite is almost certainly Sam babbling about nanotechnology. Because, yes, awesomeness. Really like the DW & the POTC ones too, especially Jack arguing that Norrington *will* be groomed.

heehee. I really surprised myself in writing only Sam-centric gen pieces for LoM, although I shouldn't be. My music collection has always had more of a Sam bent. I've tried to come up with songs for other characters, but I seem to have too many songs about being the crazies.

Am glad ppl like the PotC one. I have had Sparrington on the brain lately, and I must confess for a long time I've had Jack grooming Norrington against his will as a pseudo-bunny floating in my brain.

Yeah, it's harder for me to think of songs that would suit, say, Gene. But then, I have no Roger Whittaker in my collection.

It's a great plot bunny, really--I can definitely see Jack's sensibilities offended by a scruffy bearded Norrington.

Ahaha, Sam and his nanotech. And Geoffrey and his Rocky Horror. And mm, Sparrington. (It is getting to be that time again, isn't it? Summer = pirates. Now if only we could get some summer.) These were fun. :)

It is! I've been jonesing. I've been going through DeviantArt and the Y!Gallery in hopes of some good Sparrington art, gone back through the comm for art, and even read a fic today!

And to be honest, the art Y! and DA was either meh, or old. Did find someone who does a ton of Aziraphale/Crowley pr0n, though.

And now since the grooming drabble went over so well I'm actually contemplating fleshing it out.
