I saw Sweeney Tood.

LOVE IT!
so much pretty blood! omg Alan Rickman and Johnny Depp singing "Pretty Women", and "By the Sea" was so lolarious. ♥!
So yes, it was gorgeous and wonderful for a movie adaptation.
Interestingly though, I still find that stage production creepier. The ending of the movie just isn't as chilling.
And lo, I did miss having "The Ballad of Sweeney Todd" and leaving out the chorus for "God that's Good" and "Pirelli's Miracle Elixir" made ths songs sound awkward to my ears. But I'm sure for those who are not familiar with the original sndtrk it'll sound fine. You're just missing out on Sondheim's really fucking genius rhythms and lyrics.
and man was I really hungry for some beef after.
oh! oh! and keep a sharp eye for Anthony Stewart Head's cameo.
