You know, recently I've gotten back into watching Merlin. I mean, I've always sort of watched it to pass the time, but now I'm actively waiting for each new episode because I'm having such fun. However, I do have a problem with the current storyline.

Hmm, I dunno. I had a different feel - Gwen was always a servant for Morgana, even when Morgana was nice to her and cared, but yes, the girl who plays Morgana is a terirble actress.

Mmm. Maybe I'm delusional. It's totally possible.

I still feel annoyed at Morgana. It feels like she's stabbing Gwen in the back. Dammit, I just want my OT4 back together. *pouts*

It does seem that this Morgana is a completely different one from the one in Lancelot and Guinevere who considered Gwen her friend and was worried sick about her. Morgana's anger with Uther (even though he dotes on her and spoils her rotten) and absolutely with Merlin makes sense, but using Gwen and Arthur, who would protect her and give his life for her, makes no sense. Plus, early Morgana cared about the people - being upset about someone being beheaded for using magic, trying to help the people when they were starving. This Morgana is not at all the same person.

And yeah, her one-note acting doesn't help. Though, the writers and directors have a say in how often they cut to her smirking the Evil Smirk, so they must be embracing this new Morgana.

I'm desperately hoping that she's under some enchantment. I mean, how can she just want to kill off Arthur and use Gwen like that. It just makes me want to rip out my hair in frustration. Her character has been completely wasted in my opinion.

Oh god, THE SMIRK. And I agree, the directors could probably put a stop to it if they wanted to, which leads me to believe that maybe it's intentional. And that's just...I DON'T EVEN KNOW. Why would they have her repeating the same facial expression over and over again.
