The Walkathon portion of this year's Blogathon/Walkathon extravaganza was a great success. Over 1100 people walked to raise over $250,000 for ACT. Aaaamazing! Everyone was in great spirits, the weather was a little chilly but still sunny, and the walk itself was easy peasy! Probably about 3K -- I think it should have been longer! As the walkers

Thank you. That's my favourite outfit. I don't have "walking clothes" or "going out to dinner clothes" or "work clothes" -- they're all the same clothes. :)

How's Krystle?

It was fun. It was very silly and Krystle would have LOVED it. It was a little bittersweet for me because Jen and I just basically did the walk and went home, whereas Krystle and I were planning to spend the weekend. Ah well, next year.

She's doing okay. She tried to get through the night without a pain pill and that didn't work out so well, but she's not taking them during the day. She gets her staples out on Friday.

They really had a lot of fun things scheduled for the walkers. Krystle and I had planned to stay the weekend,, so it was a little sad in that Jen and I just did the walk and went home. But I'm glad I got to do it, and so thankful that Jen agreed to be the Krystle-substitute! Krystle and I will do it next year. :D
