OTW

For the record, yes, I've been following everything that's been going on with the OTW recently, including the meltdown stemming from the AO3 changes the past few days. Yes, I have many opinions on the matter, some of them fairly strong. And, no, I'm not planning on going into them in this post or any future posts ( Read more... )

In the mean time, I suggest the baby sloth tag on tumblr. It always helps lower my blood pressure when it's up.

*hugs* Work will sort itself, this I believe - you've just got to keep slugging away. You'll find a job that can use what you've got (far better than the one you currently have).

I...have no idea what's going on with OTW or AO3. And...could care less, really; I only hope it doesn't affect the archive. Beyond that, I'm apolitical about it.

I hope so. :-/

This post is collecting links, if you get curious, but I'd honestly recommend not even looking if you haven't already heard about it.

Nods. It's just...one of those flamewars I'm glad I'm watching from Waaaay over here.

Hugs for the RL stress. And may I recommend X Men Evolution if you have it? Or any season of MASH with Max Klinger in it.

I... wouldn't call it a flamewar, but yeah. I just can't handle getting involved.

And, yeah, M*A*S*H helped.

I don't know how you feel about working at a university, but I know people who work at Georgetown and there are opportunities there that don't require much experience. (Also, I don't know how interested you are in academics, but after a year there you get free classes - that's how my mom got her BA.)

I'd definitely be up for working at a university. And the big thing holding me back from taking more classes is money right now.

So I'll definitely check into that. Thanks! :)
