Firefox = evil.

Okay, so I have the newest (non-beta) version of Firefox on both my laptop and my desktop. So, 3.6.13, I think? Whatever it is. Both computers have the same extensions and themes. Pretty much the only difference is that my laptop has Windows 7 and my desktop has demonic possession Windows Vista ( Read more... )

FF bookmarks suck. I have Yahell's toolbar installed and use the bookmark feature on that. It's soooo much easier to use.

I use delicious for bookmarks.

You could try Classic Mode for Vista and see if it helps? I think it's a desktop theme but it makes it work more like XP...it has solved compatibility issues with other stuff. /tech support person

I use delicious, but only for bookmarking fanfiction. If I was to use it for other things, I'd have to create a separate account, and logging in and out of two different accounts just wouldn't be practical for my purposes. :-/

Oh, believe me, Classic Mode is the only thing that's kept me from screaming in frustration at Vista many a time. It's not helping in this case, though.

*sigh*

Firefox, I love you. Why must you make me want to strangle you?

I've never had an issue but then I've never used Win Vista. XP on both desktop at home and work, no problem; XP on old laptop and Win7 on new laptop, no problem.

I'm guessing it's a Vista/FF noncompatability issue. Not that it helps any.

It's just... really odd. They were working perfectly one day, and then the next they weren't. I don't even think there was any kind of update to explain it; it just randomly stopped working.

Totally feel your pain. My Firefox on Vista is FUBAR'd too.

Maybe this page will help. I'd actually blame Firefox rather than Vista. I have had (fairly minor) Firefox issues with XP, Vista, and Windows 7.
