Firefox = evil.

Okay, so I have the newest (non-beta) version of Firefox on both my laptop and my desktop. So, 3.6.13, I think? Whatever it is. Both computers have the same extensions and themes. Pretty much the only difference is that my laptop has Windows 7 and my desktop has demonic possession Windows Vista ( Read more... )

I know I'm probably stating the obvious, and something you've already tried, but just in case - have you tried completely uninstalling FF from your Desktop, and then starting from scratch, instead of just uninstalling the add-ons?

I tried that back when bookmarks first stopped working, but it might be worth it to try it again just to see if it helps. :-/

How bizarre! I've been using Firefox on Vista (but I switched to the beta version a while back), and I've never had trouble with bookmarks. I usually use the Ctrl-D shortcut for bookmarking, though.

I've used the delicious add-on for a couple of years now, and one of the changes they made a year or so ago changed it so that Ctrl-D saves bookmarks to delicious rather than Firefox. That's why I have to use the alternate shortcut.
