Sometimes? I really hate going to such a conservative school. And I'm not even gonna mention my family.

I swear to God, if one more person forwards me that insane e-mail about Muslim extremists and Obama being the anti-Christ, I'm going to scream. And possibly go on a killing spree. It's a Christian school - you'd think they'd at least know that ( Read more... )

I think that I just saw the post you're talking about. *buries head* At least I checked my friends list now and not earlier. I might have broken my head beating against the wall.

She's actually several years older than me, so I can't do the "just a kid" thing.

My mother was sending me those. My mother. How sharper than a serpent's tooth it is to have a batshit parent.

My mother isn't computer compatiable but she still buys the 'Muslim' thing.

She says she's creeped out since Obama sounds like Osama and Biden sounds a bit like Bin. :/

I guess that I'm lucky when it comes to that. My parents are both voting for McCain, but at least it's because they disagree with Obama's policies - not any of this insane BS.

I'd suggest emailing them back and correcting them but then I remembered what kind of school you go to... ._.

I'm seriously considering it. Though, knowing some of these people, all that will do is cause them to mysteriously appear in my dorm room with a list of reasons I'm going to hell for being a Democrat. :-/

I'm afraid my mother may be influenced by this idea, but won't come right out and say it. Either that, or she's bothered by the fact that he's black and doesn't want to admit it. And this really frustrates me, because my mother is a wonderful person who taught me to judge people by what they do, not by what they are. She ought to be able to see beyond this crap. :-(

It honestly scares me how many people at my school seem to believe things like this. :-/

I'm lucky, I guess, that my parents don't believe any of this. They still seriously dislike Obama, but at least for them it's over his policies . . . not his race, religion, etc.
