Torchwood - Miracle Day Ep. 1

Bit of a babbling review here, probably nothing very spoilerific, but under a cut just for safety.
Short Opinion: The whole American accents thing is very odd.
The idea is very interesting. And disturbing. In a way I don't entirely want to process at the moment.

I've read that the first two episodes kind of... drag a bit, but that the third (the first written by Jane Espenson) is very good. I liked the premise, and I think this first episode was fairly expository which is why probably not too much happened and they just went "Hey! It's America!" for the entire episode ( ... )

I'm interested to see where they go with the plot once they're stuck in America and not just coming up with the excuse to drag them there.
I think the CIA girl (Esther, I think?) will be interesting once she wakes up from the Retcon, and I'm excited to see Dichen Lachman's character if she ever actually gets involved.
I love the twist for Jack, and honestly, the Face of Boe is only a head in a jar.... lets hope this season isn't what got him to that point. >.>

Sorry, this doesn't have anything to do with your post. But, you don't by chance have any photos of our cosplay groups ? Or photos of me cosplaying? Or random photos from all night anime parties?

Thanks in advance.

Can almost certainly find you some. Should I put them on Facebook, or email them to you?

So I too have started watching Torchwood, and by "watching" I mean "shotgunning the entire series in four days." We just watched 4x01 last night, and I was really struck by how not British this season is. I suppose something about "international co-production" and "I'm amazed how Southern California looks absolutely nothing like England" might be the cause of it, but still. And yes, what's the basically the first thing to happen so we know we're watching an American TV show? Gwen picks up a gun. Naturally.

It's great to see them back on screen and to see Jack actually in some kind of mortal peril. Maybe it'll be a new reason for him to change without having to go back to DW and leave Gwen completely in the dark. Again.

I was quite excited to find out you were watching Torchwood, because I always want more people to babble at about it. I didn't watch the whole thing in four days, more like 4-5 months, but still. (And I've never watched past episode 2 of Children of Earth, because I know what's coming and the whole 'possessing children' thing doesn't sit well with me ( ... )

Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!
