Happy Birthday Mr Potter!

Mar 14, 2006 17:31

I wrote this insanely early because I was bunnied for it and because I am apparently competely incapable of reading a calendar. (Who knew?)

This is in honor of Mr James William Potter, whose birthday (at communiquills, anyway) is April 12th. So. This is both for stagboy for being such an ace best friend to my Sirius as well as for the completely unbelievably ( Read more... )

Oof.

Just...oof. That hurts. Even though I know their ages, I still didn't connect 22 to...After. *sniffle* Well done, my dear.

And I have to admit, meta!Remus got crazy jealous at the idea of Sirius calling himself James's Padfoot, but I thwacked him to shut up for a bit. :P

Thank you sweetie. I wasn't sure if I was making things too obvious from the beginning. I'm hoping that some of the parts that might have gotten a "huh?" might turn into "Oh!"'s on a second read-through.

*snuggles*

*cuddles meta!Remus* meta!Remus should know that James did call him that on occasion, but naturally only when no one else was in earshot. It's certainly not just an arbitrary thing. Still doesn't make Sirius any less Remus'. Silly boy. *cuddles you as well*

Well, maybe I was being particularly dense. But honestly, at first when I got to the end and I saw the date (which was a bit before I read the last parts), I was all, "She screwed up her maths!" But then I was all, "Ooooooooh. Owie."

*snuggles back*

meta!Remus does know that, but he doesn't have to like it. And he feels there's a world of difference between "Padfoot" and "my/your Padfoot". Remus has a lot more to say on the subject, but I'm thwacking him harder now, as this is not the place. He accepts your cuddles, though.

:) I think it's more me being too close to the writing than anything. :)

and here is where the small bits start getting larger than the rest of the post. XD

*scritches meta!Remus as risk of having her fingers bitten or smacked at* Sirius is nervous about me saying this, but James has referred to him as such. Only very rarely and usually only when something very bad has happened and they are making up, but yes. His Padfoot. But Remus' also. He's rather firm on this point. Both theirs utterly, just in completely different ways.

Oh.
You made me all sad and wibbly.
Excellently done - the balance between present and subjunctive.
I'm not used to being so incredibly wrong.
Oh, Sirius!

Aw. I'm sorry for the wibbling, but I'm so glad it worked for you.

Thanks so much!
