Happy Birthday Mr Potter!

Mar 14, 2006 17:31

I wrote this insanely early because I was bunnied for it and because I am apparently competely incapable of reading a calendar. (Who knew?)

This is in honor of Mr James William Potter, whose birthday (at communiquills, anyway) is April 12th. So. This is both for stagboy for being such an ace best friend to my Sirius as well as for the completely unbelievably ( Read more... )

Ohh. Ohhh.

When I read "22" something sort of sparked in my head but I didn't think much on it. It was sort of a brief, "wait a second...did James and Lily even make it to 22?" and then I shook it off and kept reading. Oh god. And then we get to the second last paragraph and it's just. so. *cries*

Absolutely beautiful, Lizzie. The little cross-outs, that last line, oh the whole last paragraph. It's funny because I thought that the first blacked-out bit was just you being cheeky, but oh, it's because he doesn't really know what day it is in Azkaban and oh god why are her adult characters so. fucking. tragic.

Twenty-two, Lizzie. That's how old I am. Damn you, Jo Rowling. Damn you. *cries some more*

Also, I love your handwriting. It's pretty.

*snuggles very hard*

Thank you so much. This is the most lovely comment and you've made me all teary. Do you know that I was spacing out at work today, half-writing the second half of this in my head and the first lines of the last paragraph just jumped into my head and I nearly started crying right there at the desk! Well, truth be told, a did start crying, but I caught the few little tears before they ran down my face. *shakes head* I am more than a little silly about all of this, I think.

*clings to you*

Actually, that's not my handwriting! It's Sirius', or rather, the font I use for Sirius' sigs at CQ. It's called "Philippe" and I'm quite in love with it. :)

Re: handwriting

You know, I don't think I ever quite realised the delicious oddness of Sirius's handwriting font having the same name as Remus's father. XD

Seriously, I was bawling. I'm such a girl about stuff like this, and I dunno...something about the Potters just gets me every time. I can hardly read J/L fic, no matter how innocent, without crying. It's just so sad.

*clings to you too* XD

That's a font? Wow, it looks so real! I love it!

*Hugs* It's so incredibly painful to even think of all of that - and you don't hold back at all. So sad and so beautiful and...

Really wonderful. &hearts

Oh man.. Blame it on the lack of sleep or something, but i thought Sirius had the common male ability to forget birthdays first. i didn't quite get it until i got to the no window bit. Then it sort of hit me like a sledgehammer. . That was the first time i read it. The second time i realized that it wasnt that Sirius couldnt send the letters just because he was in Azkaban, but because James was dead. I damn near cried then.. Beautifully written, caught me comepletly off-guard.

I've been lurking for ages, finally got an lj im gonna use. or not use since its linked to my gj. Not the point. Point is that im going to friend you, hope thats alright :)

Well that did actually make me cry but then I am notoriously wibbly about James's death and Sirius being left behind in Azkaban. The boys should never have been separated like that.

I do honestly think I wouldn't have become so attached to James had he not had your Sirius to grow up with. Even when they drift apart, they come back together.

Well, I hope it was a good cry, at least. *huggles you ridiculously* I fully admit to having to stop a few times while writing/editing this to sniffle a bit on the side. It's criminal what canon does to them, isn't it?

That is so very sweet of you to say. And I have to say myself that while I appreciated the bond between the two of them before, it wasn't until we met your James that I really started to understand.

*so much love right back*
