Listened to the Riverdance album about 5 billion times - and I'm STILL not bored of it!!!
I know! I still love my Riverdance album after hearing it a thousand times. And I love all the songs on it that don't feature Michael Flatley. (The two Slavic themed ones are probably my favourites, though.) I love my good old VHS of Riverdance - Live from New York City even more. (At least I think that's the title. It's with Colin Dunne, not Flatley.)
Something else that's great is "Dancing on Dangerous Ground", also with Jean Butler and Colin Dunne. (Dunne is much shorter than Jean Butler, with is a bit strange, but they are both such charismatic danders that you very quickly forget about such shallow things as hight differences.) The music is by Solas. I saw the show in London and was blown away by the experience.
The two Slavic themed ones are probably my favourites, though. Yeah, it's hard not to tap your toes along with the Russian Dervish, hehe. My favourites are Caoineadh Cú Chulainn and Firedance - I have listened to them 145 and 129 times, respectively ^_^ I've got a Riverdance VHS, too! But no VHS player, unfortunately :( I did see their performance on the Eurovision Song Contest on YouTube - but that had Micheal Flatley showboating away...bleaugh. .x.Sess.x.
