I honestly hate your mother, and I've never even met the woman.
Just remember that this, too, shall pass. One day these times will seem a distant memory, and you'll be free. Enduring it in the mean time isn't any easier, but I think you're strong enough to make it through.
Your mum sounds like mine was when I lived at home. You should check out Keele University, it's pretty cool (I go there) and the best part? It's really far away (nnear Manchester) from parents!
Ooh, Keele sounds good for me, actually - a lot of my friends lives up north, and one of my best friends just moved to a uni in Manchester. Any idea what the English courses are like? .x.Sess.x.
Keele is a duel honurs university so I'm studying English and History there. It's a great community feel; we call it the Keele Bubble because everyone knows each other and everyone gets on really well. That's important for me; I'm from near Brighton in Sussex originally so it's not like I can go home a lot (thank god), so feeling a sense of community and belonging is good
( ... )
Hmm...I'm trying to steer clear of the literature side of things and concetrate on creative writing - I spend so much of my time writing, I have very little time to do that amount of reading. Although I know I'd enjoy it if I forced myself to; I used to be a voracious reader, and it kind of saddens me that that part of me died a bit.
I wouldn't mind doing that coupled with American Studies - I'm reading over the spec for that as we speak, and it looks really interesting. America has fascinated me for years, and I'd love to learn more. Plus I'd like to move to America at some point. Despite that being one shit-ass scary prospect!
Wow, I've rambled on way too long. I'll check out Keele on the UCAS site, but at the moment it's looking pretty good! .x.Sess.x.
Meh, wish I could help, but my mum was exactly the same when I was home :( I just had to endure it. I have barely spoken to her since ive been away, thats kinda bad

Ugh, I couldn't stand a load of theory - I get that way too much with music right now. Too much studying chords and too little time actually playing anything. .x.Sess.x.
Meh, maybe dont go to Glouster then. Well if you want any Uni info about Roehampton, or general info about Plymouth, I can help as much as possible :D Uni is so good at the mo, we just kicked all the boys out of our common room so we could watch the rugby :P while working, obviously. And we just phoned the pizza place and just ordered icecream :S but the wouldnt deliver it :( meanies :P But I love my course soo much, I have fantastic lecturers and too be honest thats half the battle. One of my lecture topics, the one i was dreading most, on how to read and write about history :S but my lecturer is amazing, and ive been speaking up and butting into discussions and everything. And I'm whittering :P But seriously, feel free to ask, Im usually around, avoiding work :P
I hope things are better now and you're not still upset. Family can be so annoying. And it's not long to go before the summer again and you can move on. Plus, between now and then you'll be so busy with UCAS (ergh - lol) and stuff that you wont notice.
*Another hug*
I'll try and post something tonight for you to read :)
I really don't have anything to do or say to make ya feel better but I just thought I'd let ya know I'm thinking of ya!! Hope you're feeling a bit better.... *hugs*

*snort* You're not even the first person to say those words! How very amusing.
Anyway, thank you so much for the kind and supportive words, I truly appreciate it :)
