Dear People of Harry Potter madness.
Ok so this entry will contain SPOILERS for those who have not read HP & TDH yet. So BEWARE!! So don't read the stuff i've left links saying 'read more' to because your life will be ruined! Warwick Davies also cancelled at Blackwells - muchos disappointment.
Ok so the fantastic things in the new HP:

1. The kissing

I agree about the Ron/Herm kiss, but I disliked the Harry/Ginny; it screamed 'bad american teen drama' to me, but I don't care much for Ginny anyways.
I did <3 Dumbledore; loved that we got to hear more about him, his life. LOVED Alberforth!
Yeah, the way JKR did the collection and destruction of the H&H was good, without battles to the death in the midst of each collection.
Snape; yeah, we all new deep down he'd have 2b good (these are ultimately kids books after all), and the Lily thing was a feasible theory. Kinda hokey, but it worked.
Harry was WAY better in this book; cannot WAIT to see Radclife chomp his way through this part!

Dobby dying was a heart-wrenching scene, but I actually think it's one of the best written parts of the whole book.
And I can see where you're going with the LotR comparison concerning the locket, but SOMETHING had to get Ron to bugger off for a little bit;it was a plot device more than anything.

And yes, I'm reading it again; and being sad enough to make notes on each chapter!

yeah...i felt the use of the locket as a means to get rid of Ron was unnecessary...lack of home comforts, good food, achievment/progress would have been enough in my book. And anyway, Umbridge managed to wear it without getting ill.

Plus....when they finally decided to not wear it any more, the hung it over the end of the bed?!?! I mean wtf? Surely they at least put it in harry's special pouch or hermione's bag?
